I chose to use Canva to create posters for my poster
campaign because it was recommended to me by the Media Studies teacher. I took
his recommendation because he has more knowledge on how to generate effective
posters then I do and I needed his advice. Canva was a good resource to develop
my creative skills because it offered a tutorial which I followed and this made
my skill set more developed and it made the production of the posters much
easier. Canva was suggested to me because of the tutorial that it offered
because unlike Microsoft Publisher it would walk me through how to use it and
the documents automatically saved to my online account. I believe that this
will be a good skill for me in the future as I like to create revision posters
and Canva may become a tool I use in my further education. It was difficult to
get the hang of how to edit texts, add backgrounds and import photographs but I
think that I am much more technologically capable now.
A positive of this online resource was that I can easily alter my posters format to fit the TV screens in social areas around the school which means that they can be viewed electronically as well as on paper in the traditional form of a poster.
